Why should I verify my email address?
Syncplicity uses email addresses in a number of places – such as when you forget your password or when someone shares a folder with you – and a verified email address helps us improve the user experience for all users. By ensuring we can reach you at a verified email address, it also helps us continue to provide best-in-class safety and security for your critical personal and business data by protecting against potential attacks on your account.
How do I verify my email address?
Step-by-step instructions are available in the user manual here: How do I verify my email address
I created my account before email verification was required for all new accounts. Does this impact my ability to access my existing Syncplicity account?
No. As an existing user you can still access your account, using all your existing machines and mobile devices, with your existing email address. We recommend you verify your email address but it is not mandatory. At some point in the future we may require that you go through the simple verification process, so we recommend doing it as soon as convenient.
I am an existing user and my email address has changed. Can I change my email address and verify a new one?
Yes. Simply update your email address using the Account tab on the My Syncplicity website to change your email address. See How do I add or change e-mail addresses for my account for more information.
I tried the verification process and did not receive an email. What happened?
First, make sure the email did not go to your spam or junk folder. Then make sure the email address on your account is your valid email address.
If I follow the verification process will Syncplicity collect any new information about me?
No. This process will only verify the email address you use for your account. It does not collect any additional information.
