After a folder has been shared, you can stop sharing the folder with any individual user whom you have invited. If you have Owner permissions for the folder, you can remove anybody from the share, including users who you did not directly invite. In addition, as the folder owner, you can also unshare the folder entirely and make the folder private again.
How to Remove a User from a Shared Folder
- Right click on the Syncplicity tray icon and select Manage and Share Folders from the menu. This opens the folder management view.
- Choose the folder that is currently being shared
- The right panel will display the users that are currently share recipients for this folder. Each user has a red "X" next to their email address
- Click the X to stop sharing the folder with that particular user, and then confirm the removal by clicking Yes on the pop up box.
- Click OK at the bottom to save the changes
How to Completely Unshare a Shared Folder
Unsharing a folder makes the folder removes all users from the share and makes the folder entirely private to the folder Owner. Only the Owner can perform this action.
- Right click on the Syncplicity tray icon and select Manage and Share Folders from the menu. This opens the folder management view
- Choose the folder that is currently being shared
- To remove all users and make the contents of this folder private again, click on Make it private
- Click Yes on the pop up box to confirm the change
- Click OK at the bottom to save the changes
