Syncing with Google Docs and Google Apps have certain Google limits on documents that can be imported. As Google continues to improve Google Docs and Google Apps, Syncplicity will automatically sync these files to your Google account. Any files which Google cannot accept today continue to be stored within your Syncplicity account with full functionality.
Below are the list of Google Docs sync limitations:
- File size restrictions: http://docs.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=37603&topic=15194
- Account type restrictions: Only Google Apps for Business (previously called Google Apps Premier) accounts can upload files other than standard office document types.
- Google Docs documents with names that contain characters not supported by Windows (such as \, /, :, *, ?, ", <, >, and |) are skipped
- The Google Docs application does not support the use of foreign language characters in files names
- Syncplicity will not sync empty folders or a folder that only contains unsupported file types for your account type
