You should never normally need to reset your Windows client. Resetting your client removes all personal information from your Windows client installation. For our advanced users, resetting allows you to completely disassociate your computer from Syncplicity and reregister and reconfigure the client anew.
To reset your Windows client:
- Hold down CTRL, SHIFT, and click the Syncplicity tray icon
- Click OK to confirm you wish to erase your Syncplicity profile and quit Syncplicity
- Delete the Syncplicity settings folder:
- Click on the Windows Start menu and enter the following depending upon which version of Windows you are running:
- On Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and above: %localappdata%
- On Windows XP and Windows Server 2003: %homedrive%%homepath%\local settings\application data
- Press Enter
- A new Explorer window will appear. Delete the folder called "Syncplicity"
- Start Syncplicity from the Start Menu
