How do I add or change e-mail addresses for my account
There are two types of e-mail addresses associated with your Syncplicity Account: a single Primary E-mail Address and optionally one or more Secondary E-mail Addresses.
Your primary e-mail address is the email address used to identify your account for security purposes such as logging into the system and receiving password reset links. You can only have one primary e-mail address registered with Syncplicity at any time. When you share with others, your primary e-mail address will always be used to identify you as the sender of the invite.
Secondary e-mail addresses are used to allow others to identify you such as when they share folders. For example, if you have two corporate e-mail addresses, bsmith@syncplicity.com might be the address you use to log-in but others may also e-mail you at brian.smith@syncplicity.com. Within your Syncplicity account, you could set your primary address to bsmith@syncplicity.com while also adding a secondary e-mail address of brian.smith@syncplicity.com. Other users can now share a folder with you using either address and your files will appear in the same account.
Changing the Primary E-mail Address
Log in to your account with the current email and password
Go to the Account tab and click on Personal Info
Click the Change link next to your email
Add the email address you wish to be primary, and click Add Email
We will send you a confirmation email to the address you have added. Please click the confirmation link in the email to confirm your email address.
Click Set as Primary link to make it your primary email address.
Add a Secondary Email Address
Log in to your account with the primary email and password
Go to the account tab and click on Personal Info
Click the Change link next to your email addresses
Type a new email address into the Add email address field
Click Submit
Removing Secondary Email Addresses
To delete an email address from your Syncplicity Account, just follow the steps below:
Log in to your account with the current email and password:
Click on the Personal Info tab to see a list of all email addresses associated with an account
Click the Change link next to your email addresses
Click Remove next to the email address you wish to delete. You will not be able to remove a primary email address, but please see above for instructions on changing a primary email address
Confirmation - the email address has been disassociated with your Syncplicity Account.
