Subdomains
Below is a list of sites that must be allowed access through a firewall:
Ideal configuration is to use wildcard configuration:
- *.syncplicity.com
- (Preferred) *.syncp.com
Specific site lists are problematic as the Syncplicity service is designed to dynamically load balance clients against a cluster of backend servers (ds-*.syncplicity.com). This list changes dynamically for load with data center load. Syncplicity servers are also distributed across the US for increased redundancy, so there is not a single set of IP addresses which can also be whitelisted.
Firewalls
Please make sure syncplicity.exe is allowed by all firewall programs.
Supported browsers
We currently support the most recent versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for beta browsers at this time.
Operating systems
We currently support the use of Windows operating systems that are supported by the .NET Framework 2.0. We test against the most recent service pack versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Email
Syncplicity staff will need to get in touch with users to verify accounts, reset passwords, and send support emails. Please whitelist all emails coming from the syncplicity.com domain.
