Restoration


 

Refomatted Computer

Computers that have been reformatted are seen as "new" computers to your Syncplicity account. The steps below will walk through reinstalling Syncplicity on that computer and associating it with an existing Syncplicity account.

  1. Sign into your Syncplicity account at my.syncplicity.com
  2. Click on the Install tab
  3. Download the most recent version of Syncplicity
  4. Install this version on your computer
  5. Run through the installation wizard. You will be asked to associate this computer with your Syncplicity account and to "name" the computer
  6. Start Syncplicity
  7. You will now be prompted to accept folder downloads from your previously synced content. Please accept the downloads, and allow Syncplicity to synchronize your computer with your account.

 

Lost File

If a file has been lost through accidental deletion or some other means, the file can be restored through your Syncplicity recyling bin:

  1. Sign into your Syncplicity account at my.syncplicity.com
  2. Click on the Files tab
  3. Click on the Recycling Bin, which is located on the left pane of your files page
  4. Find the file you wish to restore
  5. Hover over the file until the Syncplicity icon appears on the file thumbnail
  6. Click on the Syncplicity icon, then choose Download

 

Lost Folder

When synced folders are deleted, Syncplicity moves the deleted content into the local recycling bin (on your computer). Please check the recycling bin first and see if the content can be restored through the local bin. If not, Syncplicity staff can help restore this content for you. Please fill out a Restoration Request form.
