Access the Online File Browser
The online file browser can be used to review, download, or manage files from a computer that does not have Syncplicity. The online file browser can be accessed by signing into a Syncplicity account at my.syncplicity.com and clicking on the "Files" tab.
Online File Browser Interface
The online file browser has two main areas, described below:
Navigation Panel
The Navigation panel is the high-level display of all folders in a Syncplicity account. The folder views can be expanded by clicking the carrot to the left of folder names.
Display Area
Once inside a folder, the contents of the folder will display in this area. From here, the individual files can be downloaded, shown revisions, or deleted.
View Folder Content
To view the folders of a content, click on the folder name from the navigation panel. The contents of the folder will appear as thumbnails in the display area.
View Detailed Information
With folder contents in the display area, click the detailed information button on the top right of your display area. This button will show a table of data on each item, including file name, date last modified, size, and action items.
Modify Shared Content
Shared folders will be displayed in the navigation panel as a folder with a hand underneath it. A user with collaborator level permissions will be able to view, edit, modify, and then upload the changed content. A user with reader level permissions will be able to view and download content, but they will not be able to upload any changed content.
